well, I love this stuff!!
Also there are still some bugs, does not preview all the movies that I have.

And I have a question: should the movies also be in thumbnails in coverflow? I just get the filetype icon...

Yes, I have nautilus elementary + gloobus preview + gloobus flow(or cover flow or clutter view, I dont know exactly whats the difference between them.

Bug: trying to preview a movie, the player pops up and shuts down. but some movies work.
I have used this tutorial to install:

they don't have to be in usr share
Try using the last bzr version

bzr branch lp:gloobus-preview
./autogen.sh
make
sudo make install

It will install everything just fine :D

I looked on your blog, and I cannot find any instruction on how to bind the shortcut and use coverflow, even though you said that they were on your blog. How can I bind the shortcut and use coverflow?

Hi again, i'm looking to customize my gloobus-preview a little bit and i'm not sure what it takes to reach my goal, or where to start. Here's a sketch of what i want my gloobus-preview to look like:[link]

Once more, thanks for your work. It's my practical and default viewer for all images :)

hello, this is a fantastic project and I'm wondering if I can undecorate the windows and put it to the center of the screen with a gradient in the background, maybe like the widget layer of compiz!

When I try to execute "gloobus-preview /home/joseph/Pictures/Childhood\ Pictures/DSC00015.JPG", I get, "Error loading Plugin: /usr/share/gloobus/plugins-preview/iComic.so: undefined symbol: _ZN9iDocument4drawEP13_GtkContainer". The gloobus coverflow works, though.

How do I actually install this thing? I have tried all of the .deb packages, all of the install.sh and chmod things, and even went into gconf manually and tried to add the key bindings. NOTHING WORKS! I have been sitting for TWO HOURS trying to figure out just how I can even get the damn thing to install! Whenever I press the shortcut keys, nothing happens. I looked on your blog for instructions on how to use the coverflow. NOTHING. PLEASE GIVE ME STRAIGHTFORWARD INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO INSTALL THIS. I am using Ubuntu 9.04 32 Bit. I do not use Compiz.

a thing to try if it works is:

gloobus /path/to/a/folder (For coverflow)

gloobus-preview /path/to/a/file (for preview)

If it works then, is that the shorcuts don't work, try this and then tell me what happens

I tried using gloobus-preview with a file, and it said, "Getting file from clipboard
NO FILE IN THE CLIPBOARD". Then, I tried copying a file, then executing gloobus-preview, and this happened, "Filename:
ClipBoard: /home/joseph/Pictures/Band/367879-R1-15-15A.jpg
LOADING PLUGINS:
/usr/share/gloobus/plugins-preview/iComic.so
Error loading Plugin: /usr/share/gloobus/plugins-preview/iComic.so: undefined symbol: _ZN9iDocument4drawEP13_GtkContainer".

By running gloobus /path/to/a/folder, I was able to get the coverflow thing to open, but I could not scroll with my scroll wheel. I was only able to scroll by clicking on a photo. Thanks for the reply, though.

Thanks for Gloobus preview. It's awesome. I set it as default for viewing all my images. The coverflow is really slick too. I can't wait until it's Nautilus. One problem though: I get no borders unless i switch to metacity for the coverflow mode.

That bug is because of the drivers, what card do you use?

Now I'm very busy with other things so I don't work more on it till I finish the current works! anyway, now it works pretty well!!

Sorry for the late reply. I'm using an ATi Radeon x300 (old, i know). It's not a big deal though. I'm guessing it won't be an issue for when it's included nautilus, which what is i'm really waiting for :)

Sorry maybe my question was a bit unclear

I was wondering if you could make the coverflow and the icons smaller. It's very big :O

And maybe add a scroll bar like in itunes if that's possible? I don't know how hard it is

Hello

I'm using ubuntu 8.10. And I can't installing gloobus0.4 (preview) because there are a lot of depends, which are only in ubuntu 9...

Please see it and upload them also

And a question: Why aren't you on gnomelook.org??

║ gloobus ║ is very nice
